The Unrivaled River Party Machine. Small, mighty, and built for nonstop fun, the all-new Atcha 86 is designed to play every wave while still holding its own in rapids. Inspired by the previous Atcha 86 designs and the super spicy Atcha 711, this board brings a new level of playfulness, speed, and stability, making it the perfect choice for paddlers looking to maximize fun on the river.

For smaller paddlers under 150 lbs, the Atcha 86 delivers the same stability and downriver performance that the Atcha 96 provides for larger paddlers. Its updated rocker profile makes surfing easier than ever, allowing you to park on a wave and stay there all day. The new pointed nose climbs over river features with ease, while tweaks to the fin placement enhance speed and surfability.

Whether you're charging rapids or carving up waves, the 2025 Atcha 86 is the go-to board for paddlers who want to turn every run into a party.

Love the 2025 model

I like a board that moves easily and the new 86 maneuvers beautifully. It’s incredibly responsive to subtle changes in the water and my paddling technique. It’s got all the agility and playfulness that I love about my 711 with more speed. It cuts cleanly through wave trains and eddy lines. It’s easier to sink the tail and play around in ways I haven’t been able to on other boards. All around, it’s a fun ride for sure. The new Atchas also look great on the water. I love the high contrast. But does anyone paddle a Hala because it’s pretty? Performance matters most and the new Atchas deliver. I can’t wait to see all the fancy things other paddlers can do on the new models.

2025 Atcha 86

Hala has done it again! This is the 5th generation of the Atcha 86 that I have paddled and it keeps getting better and better. The 2025 version has a pointer nose and slightly longer front rocker making it sportier, faster, better at punching holes, and more fun!

Love the board - It’s my 2nd one.

This is my 2nd ATCHA 86 and I LOVE the board. I had my first one for 4 years and surf year around in Arkansas. It finally got a bunch of small holes all over the top of it it that I don’t know how to repair. I bought my 2nd one and two days later after purchase, it was discounted $50 and a free leash was given with purchase. I got less for buying early. It just doesn’t leave you with the warm and fuzzy feeling. The new rocker design is fun but def takes some getting used to since less of the board is in the water, it’s less stable. I was planning to get the 96 but felt less inspired after all the deals came post purchase. Just something to think about. Hala is my fav for quality. I have had many other boards over the years too.

Hi Krista,

We are glad you love your board! That Atcha 86 is one of our favorites for a reason. Stoked to hear you are on your 2nd one, and that you'll be getting it on the water year round.

We know it's never a fun feeling to see something go on sale after you buy. That's why we have a price-adjustment policy. Any customer can reach out if a purchased item goes on sale within a week of their order, and we can offer the promotion retoractively. We would be happy to extend your price-adjustment timeline and let you get in on our Cyber Monday deal late, with a free leash and store credit. Check your email for a message from SUP@halagear.com!
