Recommended Accessories:

The Hala Atcha 86 is made to combine stability and surf-ability. The innovative SUP design is agile and persistent in whitewater and provides maneuverability in the rapids. The rocker profile of the 86 lends itself to surfing steeper holes and waves, and the long fin in the StompBox 2 brings speed and precision to this high-rocker stomp and surf SUP.

Features:

Why the Atcha 86

  • More playful (less stable) than the 96
  • Run Shallower creeks and rivers with the Stompbox™ 2 technology
  • High Rocker profile perfect for surfing
Atcha 711

The Atcha 711 wants you to jib, surf and weave. It has Stompbox-2-drive, but there's a bit less speed and a bit more spin, splat, ollie, and swerve. [7'11" x 34" x 6"]

Atcha 86

The Atcha 86 hits a stability-meets-surf sweet spot. It wants you to stomp, spin, play and drive. [8'6" x 34" x 6"]

Atcha 96

The Atcha 96 is our most stability-driven yet maneuverable and stout yet playful Atcha for charging whitewater, punching big holes and running higher volume rivers. It's the original whitewater SUP board that will get you stoked and full of confidence and stomp. [9'6" x 36" x 6"]

Love the board - It’s my 2nd one.

This is my 2nd ATCHA 86 and I LOVE the board. I had my first one for 4 years and surf year around in Arkansas. It finally got a bunch of small holes all over the top of it it that I don’t know how to repair. I bought my 2nd one and two days later after purchase, it was discounted $50 and a free leash was given with purchase. I got less for buying early. It just doesn’t leave you with the warm and fuzzy feeling. The new rocker design is fun but def takes some getting used to since less of the board is in the water, it’s less stable. I was planning to get the 96 but felt less inspired after all the deals came post purchase. Just something to think about. Hala is my fav for quality. I have had many other boards over the years too.

Hi Krista,

We are glad you love your board! That Atcha 86 is one of our favorites for a reason. Stoked to hear you are on your 2nd one, and that you'll be getting it on the water year round.

We know it's never a fun feeling to see something go on sale after you buy. That's why we have a price-adjustment policy. Any customer can reach out if a purchased item goes on sale within a week of their order, and we can offer the promotion retoractively. We would be happy to extend your price-adjustment timeline and let you get in on our Cyber Monday deal late, with a free leash and store credit. Check your email for a message from SUP@halagear.com!

It’s ready for the Rivers of Arkansas!

Whether your paddling the Buffalo or the Cossatot, this a great versatile board!

Hi there! We are so glad to hear that your Atcha 86 is ready to help you explore the rivers of Arkansas! Our team designed this board specifically for whitewater adventures, so we are thrilled that it has been meeting your needs on both the Buffalo and Cossatot. Happy paddling!

River ready

Love the Atcha. It’s shorter and more nimble than my Radito while still being very capable to river run with. While not being a dedicated river surf SUP it does quite well in the surfing department too.

Super fun and versatile board

This thing is super fun. Got it as a more playful companion to my Radito but have ended up using this board for the bulk of time on the river.

Get one!

What a sweet whitewater board! The rocker design gets you thru class II-III whitewater easily. Haven’t tried it on class IV (yet) but I wouldn’t be afraid to! I’ve SUP’d whitewater with an old NRS Big Bertha, a BlackFin X, a Glide Lochsa, and now the Atcha 8.6. Truly a phenomenal board for any aspiring or experienced whitewater SUP’er.
