4.5" Stompfin™

Sale price$29.00
(5.0)

Tracking without depth — simple and quick side to side. The 4.5" StompFin™ is the shorter StompBox center fin for shallow rivers, rock gardens, and technical runs. When the 9" Spring StompFin would drag or hang up in low water, swap in the 4.5" and run it without worrying about your fin. Compatible with every Hala StompBox system — StompBox 1.0, 2.0, and 2.5.

Like all StompBox fins, the spring holds the 4.5" StompFin locked at full depth at all times — not gravity, not water flow. Hit a rock and it deflects cleanly, springing back to full deployment before your next stroke. This fin shape even retracts from a backward graze when you drift into a rock moving downstream. Zero wobble, zero bounce, locked-in performance wherever the river takes you.

Current StompBox 2.5 boards (Atcha 96, Atcha 86, Rado, Radito) ship with the 9" Spring StompFin as the standard center fin. The 4.5" StompFin is the ideal optional upgrade for low-water runs and rocky lines where a shorter fin is the right call. See the full Hala fin lineup, including the 9" Tracking StompFin for flatwater, fishing, and expedition runs.

Super fun!

I love this fin for surfing. It makes the board nice and loose for tricks and shinnaniggins while on the wave.

River fin

I was unsure if I wanted this because the standard fin retracts as well but I’m glad I got it. Smooth riding on a shallow river and it was easier the swap out than I thought it would be. The side fins are flexible and the same depth as this retractable center fin for stomp box

You need it.

Better fit for white water than the 9" in my opinion.
