I love my new Hala Hoss & Hala Asana! I am a beginner paddler and both boards are easy to paddle, stand up on, and balance on the water. My big Black Russian Terriers, each weighing 145 pounds can sit in the front and enjoy riding with us on the pond enjoying the smells of nature & pond life. Stable, sturdy, thoughtful touches. There are lots of cheaper options out there, but you will appreciate the details here.
I returned my $495 Isle board and ordered the Hala Hoss for several hundred more. When I took it out of the box, I was very surprised with the quality of some of the accessories, especially the hand pump and carry bag. They both seem very cheap compared to what I received with my Isle board, and what my wife has with her Gili board. The bag shoulder straps have almost zero padding. The waist belt has no padding and is very thin. There is no padding on the bag that touches your back. The pump can only inflate, not deflate and is much slower to inflate than my Isle hand pump was. The handle of the paddle is just plain plastic. There is nothing to help your grip not slip or be more comfortable. Hala seemed like a smaller company that but a lot of effort into making high quality products so I was surprised by all this. The board seems great though. I just wish it had something that I could connect my paddle to while carrying my board.
My husband and I first used a friend's Hala SUP 5 years ago. We had so much fun we finally decided to get our own for Christmas. Finally, summertime in Colorado is here so we were able to go to Windsor Lake with our own SUP's. We had so much fun and got a great workout too. Once we get comfortable with our own skill, we plan on taking our two dogs along for the adventure. I think everyone needs a Hala SUP!
Love my board! Used it for 3 seasons so far, taken many people on it, from age 5 to age 55. Such a great board on ocean and lakes. Held up better than the iRocker so far as well… definitely want another board from hala!

As advertised! I’m a bigger guy at 6’2” and 225. I wanted a stable well made board for me and my pooch. It’s stable , tracks well, and is built well! I use it mainly on lakes . Love this board.
Bought the Hoss last year used it 3 times and there is a bubble formed in the back where the rand over laps ! I will be testing customer service as soon as I can get out of storage and air up for a photo!

This is a fun board for the lake or mellow river. Enough room for lots of gear. Sturdy & steady. Even my mom was comfortable on this SUP! Good times for everyone!
So quality! My only request is to make a 3-step hand pump like iRocker does. Other than that, all components are great, customer outreach has been super, nice personal touch and pride in your great offerings.
Love it! It’s stable and moves through the water easily. Plenty of room for me and my 55lb. puppy-dog.
