Tell us a little bit about yourself

Having parents from the punk rock scene, I was actively skateboarding around pre-school age. That led to weekly bus trips to go snowboarding by middle school. It was that love for snowboarding that led me to take college classes in Steamboat Springs, where I found whitewater activities for the first time.

After years of just hopping on friends’ boats, I had a chance to ride a friend’s Hala Atcha 86, down our short but fun town section… I was instantly hooked on the new challenge with the old familiarity of a board under my feet. I bought myself one later that week, and since then, there hasn’t been a day on the water with it that I’m not having fun either pushing for new difficult lines or just messing around on flat water :)
