Tell us a little bit about yourself

I grew up in an urban city but luckily Richmond, Virginia has a river running right through it. With the James River starting in the mountains of western Virginia, cutting through downtown Richmond and ending up in the ocean of Virginia Beach, both the outdoor community and the surfing community have played large rolls in my life. SUP has provided me a way to experience the best of both of those worlds. A friend introduced me to surfing rivers and white water SUP about seven years ago and I've been hooked ever since. As a father of three, SUP has given my entire family the opportunity to have fun together, while also learning river skills and safety. If anyone is looking for an activity to do with their family, I would recommend SUP over anything. For the exercise, outdoors experiences, learning experiences, shared accomplishments, and just plain fun, you can't beat it!
