Take the 10’10” Rado out and enjoy the responsiveness of the tip-to-tail full rocker on a longer platform. It lets you load up with enhanced speed and tracking for everything from your river expeditions to all-around use. Punch big holes, dominate expeditions, and enjoy it all on the Hala Rado. Core Construction™
These board can take a serious beating and you can keep on cruising with our burly Double-Layer Drop Stitch material. How do we make our boards so rugged? A second layer of thick, liquid PVC is poured over the raw drop stitch material for the best abrasion resistance available. Burly material for a burly board on your burly adventure. Learn more about Hala’s board construction.

Dynamic Shape
Makes it burly for expeditions and yet sleek maneuverable. This board is great to crossover as an all-around board. Learn more about Hala’s outlines.

Swallowtail
Gives you two balance points in the tail, instead of one, so the board resists tipping. It gives a bit of more bite to your turns while surfing from the back. Learn more about Hala’s shapes.

Patent Pending Stompbox™ Retractable Fin
No more supermanning off your board! The fin retracts into the board upon contact with unanticipated rocks for an undisturbed run, allowing you to paddle the shallowest rivers and creekiest lines, year round. See the Stompbox™ in action here.

4 Fixed, Unbreakable, Low-Profile Side Fins
These 3” fixed fins make shallow water more accessible and create low draft, high-performance tracking. Indestructible and designed for rugged terrain and unmistakable durability.

10 Soft Rigging Points
6 Soft Rigging points give you the option to rig up light loads up front and heavier ones on the deck pad. With our centralized rigging points, you don’t have to compromise performance.
4 Additional Soft Side Points near the back give you the support of our triple reinforced D-Rings without the knuckle busting. So you can bring all your gear with you wherever you go.

D-Ring Rigging Point Under The Nose
Tow your board from the D-Ring rigging point located under the nose. This pushes the force and weight up to make towing easier and faster.

Leash D-Ring
A triple-reinforced D-ring is located on the back of the board to attach your leash onto. But remember, using a leash properly requires knowledge and attention.

Two Soft Side Handles
For additional riders to hold onto and makes it easier to get on and off the board.

One Front and One Back Rubber Handles
Carry this board easily with the help of a friend to and from the water while all your gear stays secured.

Foot index
Located just before the stomp pad is raised EVA on your deck pad. It is a small, centralized rectangle so you can easily step your foot back to the center of the board without ever taking your eyes off the water.

Stomp Pad
A 1.5” stomp pad allows for precise control and maneuverability of your board.

Travel-Ready Board
A board that can go anywhere, this board packs up and rolls out with you. Combined with our Grafik Travel Paddle, you’ll have the ultimate, portable setup for adventure.

10 reviews for Hala Rado

    :

My first trip with my Hala Rado was on the Dolores river in Colorado. I got it for bigger whitewater, and it really filled the spot my quiver had missing. It was really stable and has surprising acceleration for an inflatable. It really was a springboard for a couple people that hadn’t been on a board before. Cleaning up in class 2 whitewater with no previous experience. No one loves it more than my dog Rokit, now it’s our board.

Hi Jake. The Rado is an excellent whitewater and expedition board. With it’s fixed unbreakable low profile river fins and retractable Stompbox™ fin, the Rado is a great board for any river environment. Thanks for the feedback! Happy paddling with Rokit :)

      Hala!

    :

I really enjoy the Hala Rado and it’s younger brother the Radito! They both have there place on the water. I have been playing with the Rado for a couple weeks now and feel very comfortable saying this board will open up the class V realm for WWSUP. The board is made for high water runs and difficult WW expeditions. It will also be an amazing family board or board for someone who is new to the sport and wants to get out and feel comfortable running class 2/3. When the rivers are raging this will be my board of choice!

    :

The Hala Rado is one of my favorite new boards for 2017. This board can handle anything you throw at it. It takes on big water and boofing holes with ease. It also allows a beginner paddler to feel confident on the river with tons of stability in rapids. If you are just looking to have one board to paddle downriver, I would take a closer look at the Hala Rado.

    :

New to the whitewater SUP scene and have been enjoying the Rado. Its hard to compare this board to others as I don’t have a ton of experience yet. With that lack of experience this board has given me a ton of confidence and I’ve been building up my skill set. I’m still learning where I should be on the water and so I’ve taken it down places where I needed to skirt some hazards. I’ve dragged the board over rocks and through black berry patches and the Rado takes it with pride. I’m not intentionally out to abuse my board, however at times I find reality different then my pre trip plan. My only feedback to Hala for improvement would be to place the side handles at the balance point. I’ve gotten around this by adding my own strap, which is very easy to do with all the attachment loops placed on the board. Thanks Hala for making a awesome board, looking forward to buying another board soon!

    :

This quickly became my favorite board. While its epic on big whitewater, it is surprisingly awesome in the surf also. It can turn on a dime well and holds a line better than almost any other inflatable out there.

    :

I’ve been drooling over the Hala Rado for the past year or so. I finally joined the Hala family two weeks ago and have been so glad that I did. I was looking for a board that could tackle a family float on the lake, a day of fishing with all my gear and something to take down some whitewater. This baby does it all! Looking forward to many more adventures on the Rado!

    :

I bought the Rado after the other Hala board I wanted was out of stock and I have to say that I am pleased I have this board in my arsenal. It’s a great size for my husband to join me on the water and we will be putting this board to good use with some overnight trips we have planned in the future. All the extra rigging points are great to have for tying down coolers and other camping and fishing gear. The construction of this board is very sturdy and we both feel very stable on the water whether its flat or moving. I have also stolen this board for my SUP yoga classes and I feel completely solid throughout the entire class. Great sturdy and stable board that I feel like we can take anywhere!

    :

Absolutely love this thing! I travel a lot for work on the west coast and was looking for something I could use at home in Colorado on the lakes and rivers, but also something I could pack up and take with me when I go to San Diego to surf and the PNW to fish. I’ve now taken this puppy to surf in the Pacific, up to high Alpine lakes, and down some pretty fun class 3 rapids. It is a BLAST! The one thing I would recommend is getting the extended fin if you’re going to use it for lake fishing. The bigger fin definitely helps stabilize the board and allows you to track much better than the stock fin. Big thanks to their sales rep Jake for pointing me in the right direction and providing excellent customer service!!!

    :

I previously owned a Hala Hoss BT which was a great all around board. I switched up to the Rado so I would have a board that’s more suited to whitewater as we’re usually running rivers. I expected the differences to be marginal but was very impressed with the differences: Both boards are super stable but the Rado is very stable front to back as the rocker and pointed tip blast right through waves so the board ‘bobs’ less from front to back. The other notable feature of the Rado is how easily it wants to surf. With the bigger rocker, it sits on waves so much easier without getting the front bogged down. My one point for improvement is that fancy new bag is kind of small to put the board in zipped up. I’m guessing this might be to make it suitable for flying though?

Great All Rounder and A Beast For Rapids!
I use this board as a multi purpose board from running solid WW to family trips on flat water. Its not sluggish on flat water, tracks well, and maintains speed! For whitewater, its stable yet responsive and the rocker makes it easy to keep your speed and maneuver in a rapid. It is also ideal for longer trips (Ive done about 2 overnighters on it) and it takes the load and still remains easy to paddle.

Family loves the board with even my 7 year old being able to paddle and turn it. One of the great features of the board is the Stompbox. I paddle a lot of shallow rivers and it retracts easily enough not to snag on the rocks.
